Appointed as County Executive in January 2016, Nav Gill retired in February 2021. Gill was with Sacramento County since 2007 as the Assistant County Executive/Chief Operations Officer for Sacramento County.
Previously, Gill served as the Assistant City Manager and the Finance Director for the City of Folsom for five years. While at Folsom, Gill was responsible for finance, public works and utilities functions.
Prior to arriving in California, Gill spent 14 years working for the City of Durham, North Carolina, in a variety of senior financial positions, including Finance Director.
Gill holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Missouri.
